In general, a permit is not required to import and export firearms and/or ammunition that are not covered by section 1 in the Weapon Act (manually repetable firearms, knives, etc.).
Greenland Police can fill out an import and export declaration, as a declaration is a prerequisite for importing and exporting firearms and/or ammunition from many other countries, including Denmark.
A permit is required to import and export firearms covered by section 1 in the Weapon Act (fully and semi-automatic firearms, short firearms, etc.) and ammunition. The practice regarding import and export af firearms covered by section 1 is strict.
An import and export declaration is valid in 3 months from the date of issue of the declaraion.
